Ramblewood is located on 200 acres of wooded land in Darlington, Maryland, on the south bank of the Susquehanna River, just west of I-95. The rustic accommodations are in self-contained, closed buildings, with sinks, showers, and toilets. Food is provided by Janet Bradley, a professional caterer who is known to early Buffalo Gap attendees as an innovative cook understanding of the needs of dancers. Ramblewood has one large, sprung wooden-floored dance hall, an outdoor covered dance pavilion, and several smaller wooden-floored spaces for classes during the day.

Most of the housing is in dormitory-style cabins, which are fully enclosed.
"Blair Castle" is a large, older building that typically houses the teachers and musicians, although some additional rooms are sometimes available for weekend participants.
The main dance space is a building designed by dancers, with a sprung wooden floor.
There is a raised platform at one end for a band.

Approximately 20 sets can easily be accommodated on the dance floor.
The pavilion (new in 1997) is located just up the hill from a fresh-water pond, down the hill from the housing units and within a quick walk from the dining hall.

The dancing space, accounting for built-in benches and a sound stage at one end, is about 40 feet by 65 feet; there is ample room for about 12 sets.
The interior of the pavilion is open and airy. The floor is plywood over joists, which is sanded with epoxied joints.
The Dining Hall is easily accessible to all the cabins. Seating is family style at long tables. A pool is next to the dining hall.
